In April of 2018 I was ordained as a Zen priest, and in Fall 2018 I served as shuso, or head student, at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center. Previously, I received Lay Zen Buddhist teacher recognition at Berkeley Zen Center in 2005 after more than 25 years’ study of Zen and Buddhist Psychology. I completed my hypnotherapy training and certification in 2012 from HCH Institute in Lafayette, CA. I study hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and “coaching the unconscious mind” with Melissa Tiers in New York (www.centerforintegrativehypnosis.com). In my work I weave together ancient wisdom, discoveries of brain science, and a wide variety of Ericksonian hypnotherapy processes.
Sessions are $60, or $150 for three. To make an appointment, please contact me at 510-495-5818 or at LaurieSenauke@gmail.com.
I enjoy working with all different kinds of people; particular areas of exploration for me are exploration of parts, parenting overwhelm, learning styles in children, aging, pre- and post-surgery processes, and unconscious limiting beliefs.
Recent discoveries in brain science have confirmed what healers through the centuries have known: relaxation and imagination offer tremendous possibilities for healing. Read more about what hypnotherapy can do.
